Backstage at PPQ London Fashion Week SS12

London Fashion Week is well and truly underway and I was lucky enough to be helping out backstage on Friday for the final show of the day from PPQ. I was assigned to dress model Renee Germaine Van Seggern (shown above) who wore a cute lilac pinifore dress and silver needle-thin stilettos. PPQ were celebrating a decade at being showcased in London Fashion Week, so they're SS12 collection paid homage to their nineties roots and beginnings by re-introducing the super skinny drainpipe jeans. The collection is fun and quirky with sickly, sweet ice cream pastels and Rubix Cube inspired patterns plastered with the PPQ monogram. Personally, I'm more excited by AW fashion than SS for the dark colours and accessories.

Working the show was such a buzz as it was so hectic and exciting and I do wish I'd applied to do some more now. I will definitely be returning in February, that's for sure!

The afterparty was held in the Mayfair Hotel serving a varieties of cocktails including yummy Cosmopolitans that got us very merry! We were amongst the likes of Peaches Geldof, Erin O'Connor as well as Charlotte and BB from Dirty Sexy Things. I was always besotted with Charlotte during the series as I think she is simply stunning, so we had a bit of a fangirl moment with her as seen below!

I literally bought my dress for the afterparty the day before and it was such a beautiful find! I've been looking for the perfect polka dot dress for ages and this is it! I usually have trouble finding dresses that are long enough because I'm a little on the tall side, however this one falls just above my knee.

I had a little haul of clothes - high street and vintage - last week, so I'll post some photos of them in the week as this post is a little overrun by photos to add anymore!

  2. I think I love backstage pictures even more than I love runway shots. I love seeing the behind-the-scenes work.
