OOTD: Velvet & Studs

STUDDED DENIM JACKET: VINTAGE VIA EBAY, £45. VELVET DRESS: VINTAGE VIA CHARITY SHOP, £12. ALLEGRA CHELSEA BOOTS: TOPSHOP, £75.

The dress I'm wearing it is actually a deep blood red velvet, but it just doesn't ever seem to photograph well. For some reason the camera seems to think it's black, but I can promise you it's not. I've had this studded jacket a good few years now and it has certainly served me well. It's a perfect little summer jacket, but alas it's not summertime just yet so I almost froze to death today. You can always count on me to not dress for the weather!

I've been wearing maxi's and midi's a lot recently, whereas before I avoided them like the plague for the fear of looking like a middle-aged woman. However, I've embraced the world of adulthood when turning 21 and I have welcomed the maxi into my life! I've surprisingly taken a liking towards them too. I don't look like the 45 year old, haggard woman I once feared. Luckily, being on the tall side at 5"9 means I can actually pull off longer length skirts with some success.

A few weeks ago, I spoke about re-branding the blog, so I could purchase a domain. However, I chickened out because I love "Fox Tales" so much. I just need to bite the bullet and accept change! I've got a new header ready and everything...

  2. *squinted at the dress for about five minutes then shouted aloud "Ooh it IS red!" and woke my cat up*

I envy your height! I'm a weeny 5'2 so any attempts I make to wear maxi skirts end in me looking one of those toilet roll covers... not cool.

    Maisyetc.

  4. Love your jacket, and its a shame the photo doesn't show the colour of your dress.
Ohh I know how your feel, I've been wanting a domain of my own for a little while but I'm slightly worried about not being able to format a blog etc.
