It is official that this rucksack is never leaving my back ever again! The lovely people at GRAFEA recently contacted me asking if I would like one of their stunning satchels. I rather quite physically leapt at the offer, as their selection of bags are really quite beautiful. They have a large selection of leather classic, timeless vintage style bags that will be suitable for season after season for years to come. I'm currently loving the rucksack revival trend at the moment, so I opted for the Bianca white leather rucksack. Initially, I was torn between the black or the white as black is usually my "go to" colour, however there's something so chic and sophisticated about a white rucksack that I just had to have it! For example, it automatically dresses up this plain grey marl jersey dress I'm wearing today. It's the perfect size and has enough compartments and pockets to organise the usual chaos of my day-to-day bags.

Enough of my borderline obsession/crush on my new bag! I finally got the grey marl midi from Topshop that everyone raves on about. I did want it when it first appeared in store but I just couldn't bring myself to pay nearing £40 for a plain grey jersey dress! I know Primark released a very similar version, but I didn't like it no where near as much as the Topshop version as it's a bit lighter in colour. Luckily, I spotted this on the sale rail of the Topshop concession in my local Debenhams marked down to £18! It's a little big on me, but at least the belt brings it in a little bit.

I met up for lunch and shopping with the lovely Toni yesterday as the weather was briefly a little but sunnier! We had a little picnic in the park and made daisy chains, as you do at 21 years old! I bought these pink brogues/flatforms/espadrilles/things whilst we were shopping. They were just a mere £10 in the New Look sale! I bought quite a few pink things yesterday as it happens... I didn't even think I liked pink! Apparently that's not the case and I do have a feminine side. These photos were taken with my new tripod, so no more strategically balancing my camera on top of a pile of boxes! Even though I'm shooting in the same location I still notice the difference with the quality of the final images. It also means I can now do detail shots like I've done today!

Queen for a Day

I thought I would share with you some photos that were taken of me when I modelled for a friend's magazine recently. It was a rather fun shoot as I got to wear this marvelous, somewhat extravagant vintage dress and prance around pretending I was a queen for a day. I must admit I look like a top class bitch in these photos though, then again I suppose you might be if you were a queen. When I first put the dress on I could not stop laughing for seeing a resemblance between myself and Princess Fiona (in ogre form) from "Shrek" with the green dress and braided ginger hair!

I finally booked my tattoo today after about two years of thinking over a design! I tend to really think my tattoo ideas through so I am 100% certain that I will not regret it, but I've been longing for a feather on my ribcage for so long now that I'm just going to bite the bullet and get it done. The date is next Wednesday! I'm so excited and nervous! I haven't had a tattoo done since I was 18!

Shoe Library (PICTURE HEAVY POST)

If you've followed my blog for a while you may or may not have realised I have an absolute addiction to purchasing shoes. It's strange because I never, ever used to be a "shoe girl", instead I would rather spend my money on tons of pretty dresses. It's only over the past year I've developed an addictive taste for gracing my feet with an assortment of skyscraper heels and worryingly dangerous platforms. I tend to receive compliments on my shoe choice so I decided to share my entire collection (so far!) on my blog as some of these shoes sadly never, ever see the light of days as there's just too many! Here you will see how my shoe collection ranges from a mere 9 pence to £195!

These three are sat near the entrance to my flat, probably because they are the most worn out of all of my shoes. I tend to opt for black shoes most of the time as I tend to wear patterns, so it's always easier to match a pair of black shoes. All three of these are also the most comfortable out of all of my heels and platforms, so that's probably another reason why I wear them more than everything else! It was so hard to get my hands on the Allegra boots at the time, because everyone seemed to surge for them as soon as they hit the shop floor. Luckily, I spotted the last pair in my size in the Southampton store and I didn't even hesitate in handing over 75 big ones for them, when usually I'm quite stingey with money! They have been worth every penny though as they go with absolutely everything and are ever so comfortable. The glitter platforms are a regular feature on my blog as I'm always wearing them - they really make an outfit whole! The H&M platforms are super duper high and make me well over 6 foot, so sometimes I'm a bit dubious of wearing them for fear of looking like a giant, however they're so soft and easy to walk in!

Say "hello" to shoe rack number one! As you can see I have a bit of a love for lace-up boots and brogues! Both pairs of my Doc Marten's really are my pride and joy! I plan to also invest in a black pair as the velvet and metallic gold are sometimes a bit too extravagant and completely clash with what I'm wearing! Some of these shockingly have never even been worn. For example, the Peacocks crotchet boots still have the elastic attaching them together and they were purchased well over a year ago! However, I tried them on today and they have a really loud squeaking sound when I walk in them! Does anyone have any tips on stopping shoes from squeaking at all?!

This is shoe rack numero deux, which is a massive 5 shelves high! Ideally I'd like to have a book shelf to cater for all of my shoes... maybe even one day I'll have a whole room or library full of shoes - now that would be wonderful! As you can see the pink boots still have the tags on and remain unworn from the January sales! They're a little too small unfortunately so they're a bit too painful to wear. I always make the mistake of buying shoes that are either too small or too big for me because they're the only pair left. I really need therapy!

JEFFERY CAMPBELL SPIKED LITAS: £130
The Jeffery Campbell Lita's are my babies and are the only "designer" branded shoes that I own, unless you count AllSaints. I splashed out on them on my 21st birthday with all the money I got, so I didn't feel too guilty in handing over £130 for them. They're so, so beautiful that I'm actually terrified to wear them out! I need to get over my fear and wear them out soon though otherwise they certainly will have been a waste of money.



LEATHER TOPSHOP SANDALS: £55 £25 // BURGUNDY VANS AUTHENTIC: £40
The heeled sandals were my most recent purchase a few days ago from the Topshop sale, whilst the Vans are the only pair of trainers I own! As I'm posting this I've actually come to realise I left out my gold Hunter wellies too, which are packed away in the cupboard ready for festival season this summer! And that concludes my entire ever-growing shoe collection. Some of these prices are estimates as I've had some of these shoes for absolutely years, but they are quite accurate. Out of curiosity I totaled up the amount that has been spent on my shoe collection (including the Hunter wellies) and I can reveal my feet are actually currently worth:

£1593.67

That's only using the prices that I paid, rather than some of the shoes at their full price! Initially that may be shocking, but then I thought that would only ever buy me just 3 pairs of Louboutins at the most! However, I still think I may just have to cut down a little bit!

For the first time in a long while, not one single Urban Outfitters piece features in this outfit! Shock, horror! This velvet kimono literally turned up this morning and I threw it straight on with what I was wearing already. I absolutely adore it! As you may know I have a constant love affair with velvet, in particular royal blue velvet. I don't think I ever plan to take it off again, I'm in love! Also, my lovely black leather heeled sandals also turned up. Hopefully the weather will perk up soon though so I can actually wear them!

This vest was also another Topshop purchase. I'm not usually a fan of graphic prints from Topshop as they always seem a bit immature and remind me of something a 15 year old girl would wear. At 21 years old that's not really the look I'm aiming for! However, the shape of this vest drew me in as it's dipped at the back and the print isn't too bad! I've now got the rest of the week off of work so I plan to throw myself quite literally into the massive pile of uni work that awaits me! Wish me luck.

Now, I know what you're thinking... No, I do not have a fancy new camera... I just have a fancy friend with a fancy camera! I spent the day with my friend, Toni, for lunch, tea and photos, which was really lovely. As you may have noticed, I took the plunge and got my fringe cut back in yesterday! I've been debating it for a while as my hair was just starting to look a little boring and was difficult to style. I'm now so glad I did as I only had to simply straighten my fringe into place this morning rather than spend forever on finding someway to style it. My "dream hair" is early Florence Welch, but a little longer! I will get there eventually!



The Topshop sale started yesterday so I wasted no time in browsing the website for goodies! I ended up buying this blue velvet kimono and this strappy heels, both of which I've been keeping careful watch over for a while! I think I might have to return the glittery boots I bought from H&M the other day to make up for me buying these strappy heeled sandals, which I'm sure I'll get a lot more wear out of! Now, if someone would be so kind/cruel enough to take my debit card away from me...

This vintage Harley Davidson vest has to be my most favourite recent buy. I'm still in disbelief that it's long enough to be worn as a baggy dress as I even have trouble finding dresses themselves that sufficiently cover my toosh! I re-dyed the top of my hair yesterday as my roots were absolutely dreadful but for some reason it's come out awfully patchy and horrible. Hopefully after a few more washes it'll fade a bit more and start looking a little more acceptable. I think it's probably about time I went all-over one colour rather than this indecisive ginger/blonde dip-dye I've got going on right now.

I went to a student lock-in at my local shopping centre last night with my lovely friend Soozy, so I bought a few more discounted goodies including a beautiful pair of glittery boots. I don't think I could ever have enough tacky, glittery shoes! Surprisingly I didn't actually spend that much only picking up a few bits for £5 each in the sales and a dress from Miss Selfridge I've wanted for a while. It's a classic little black cut-out dress, so I'm sure I'll get years of wear out of it.

I decided it was about time I introduced some soft summery colours into my wardrobe. I usually opt for black or darker colours as I'm not overly girly. In fact, I'm a pretty crap woman all together considering I can't iron, am useless with beauty products and certainly cannot cook! I think my clothing choice has always reflected I'm not particularly very ladylike. However, I've been absorbed by the pastel trend in recent weeks, even though in the beginning I was convinced it would not suit me. Although I certainly shan't be going all out pastel and making myself looking like a Drumstick lollipop, but I've decided to incorporate it somehow into my outfits to make them a little more summery. These cute little crop tops seemed like the perfect way to do this! I'm obsessed by crop tops even though I really HAVE NOT got the stomach for them, but I WILL HAVE! I'm planning to order the deadly "30 Day Shred" although I'm far too scared/lazy, so I keep making excuses to put off ordering it. As you may have noticed I've been wearing ankle socks a lot recently and these ones were too cute to resist. I have a feeling I may look like a 5 year old school girl in them though.

I first saw the tunic on Charlene's blog and I absolutely fell in love with it. It's an either you love it or hate it kind of garment, but I absolutely love it. Needless to say my boyfriend detests it! It's actually meant as a beachwear cover up, but it looks ever so cute as a dress. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be visiting any beaches this year, so I'll only be using it as a dress! The leopard dress is completely out of my comfort zone and is something I would NEVER, EVER usually pick. I've become such a fan of midi's though that I had to try it on and the colour doesn't actually look too horrifying on me. It's a little baggy as it's a size 10 and I'm always an 8 in River Island, but it looks a little more flattering just that bit oversized. I'm contemplating returning it though because I'm not 100% on it. I think I was just caught in the heat of the moment of the sale! You may have seen me post an Instagram picture of the cream dress when I tried it on and regrettably left it behind. Luckily when I went back it was still there so I snapped it up!

I think the vintage Harley vest is my favourite of the haul. It was from the men's vintage section at work and it's so long that I can wear it as a dress! I can never usually wear men's tees as dresses like I would like because I'm too tall, however this one has that bit of extra length so my bottom is sufficiently covered! The sandals are just basic black lace-ups that should see me through the summer season.

Chiffon Mint Dress: £13
This dress instantly reminded me of a mermaid as soon as I saw it! It's probably a little too girly for me, but for £13 I took the risk. I'm yet to style it with anything, but I'm thinking I may teamed it with my studded denim jacket to tone down the girliness a little. Either that or splash some car oil up it and just constantly clutch a can of beer whilst wearing it... Whenever will I just accept I am just a girl and dressing like a lady occasionally is fine?!

I'm a day late with this post again, because of my deadly hangover yesterday. I didn't get out of bed until around 7pm because of a hideous headache! I really cannot handle my drink like I used to - it's pathetic. Oh vodka jelly, how deceiving you are! Has anyone else found with age their alcohol tolerance just gets worse or is it just me being a complete and utter girl?

Here's a snippet of what I bought this week! I didn't post all of the photos because I plan on doing a separate post of my little weekend haul. The 9p shoes have returned, in fact I wear them pretty much all the time! They must work out at about 0.000001p per wear! If you have no idea what I'm going on about I blogged about them here in a previous outfit post. I actually wore this outfit to work a few weeks ago, but never got around to shooting it. I loved the combination of colours so much that I wore exactly the same today! I must admit I had to switch to black tights once I noticed it was raining outside! Bare legs just wouldn't have been appropriate! As I'm typing this I've also just noticed I have one blazer sleeve rolled up and one down - what a doofus!

I'm absolutely hating my hair at the moment. Excuse the emo fringe circa. 2006. I was hoping to achieve a sultry Jessica Rabbit look with the side fringe but instead I am left with a reminder of my 15 year old self and the awful blinding fringe she had. I really need to get it styled ASAP. I think I have a genuine fear of the hairdresser though. I avoid going there like the plague. I think it's because every single time I get my hair cut I come away unhappy that they've hacked off what could have been beautiful mermaid locks. My student loan came through today so I went shopping for goodies and summer bits which I'll post about soon!

I picked up this vest in the River Island sale last week. It's unlike anything else I own, but I'm in love with the colours of it. It could prove to be an ideal festival top this summer tucked into some denim shorts! River Island is such a 'hit and miss' shop for me, as some seasons their collections are completely tacky and market-stall worthy, then the next they step up their game with some must-have pieces. I always find myself waiting for the sale though, because I have to admit their sales are one of my favourites! They pretty much throw everything into sale every few months!

I'm having such a bad hair day, which is probably down to the fact I haven't washed it in what feels like forever. I hate washing my hair, it's such a chore especially the longer it gets. I've just thrown it into a top-knot and it's just exaggerated how bad my roots are! I never realised how dark my natural colour is! It almost looks pretty much black! I must admit, I wasn't going to blog today. I've got some 'personal issues' (God, I hate that phrase!) I need to work my way through. However, I enjoy blogging and it's a form of escape in a way, so I thought why shouldn't I?!

I just want to point out how damn good Chuck Bass & myself look together in this ensemble of Instagram photos. Oh, if only! The highlight of this week has been my galaxy print DIY's, which turned out better than I expected. Looks like I won't be needing to splash out on a pair of Black Milk leggings afterall! I've had a pretty lonely Easter weekend as my boyfriend worked the whole time including Easter Sunday, so feeling sorry for myself I bought myself a chocolate egg... I think I've sunken to a whole new low.

DIY: Galaxy Print Leggings/Skirt

If you follow me on Twitter you may have seen that yesterday I dabbled in a little bit of DIY and made this galaxy print skirt. You also might have read a few posts ago my lust for Black Milk galaxy print leggings, but I'm a little dubious of splashing out £60 on them! Before I committed to purchasing a beautiful pair by Black Milk, I decided to give it a go myself! I must say they were ever so simple to make, so I've decided to share a step-by-step guide so you can also make your own galaxy print.


You will need:

• Leggings/Skirt/T-Shirt - a black garment you want to transform.
• Househould toilet bleach
• An empty cleaner spray bottle
• Water (not pictured)
• White acrylic paint
• Paintbrush
• Binbag (to cover & protect the area in where you work)

1. Firstly add some household toilet bleach to the empty spray bottle. Remember to take care and wear rubber clothes and old clothes when working with bleach (although I didn't because I like living life on the edge, HA!). Then add about 2/3 water to the bottle, I always prefer to dilute my bleach because I don't want the bleach burning through the clothes. Replace the lid of the spray bottle and make sure the locked cap is on, then shake to mix up the solution.

2. Lay out your garment on the binbag or in a place which will not be affected by the bleach. For example, I hung my garments in the shower so the bleach didn't ruin any of the surroundings... if anything it gave it a quick clean! Then get spraying! Make sure you do spray some close and some from far away so your 'galaxies' do not look too clustered.


3. Where you have sprayed should start turning into an orange rust colour. Remember to spray both sides and the insides of legs and sides of the skirt so the print doesn't look uneven. I left my garment hanging for around 10 minutes to let the bleach do it's job. After 10 minutes rinse your garment in cold water to get rid of the bleach. You can either do this by hand or put your washing machine on the rinse cycle whilst you have a cup of tea!

4. If you don't feel as if there is enough bleached patches on your garment then repeat the previous processes and add some more, but make sure you re-rinse it again thoroughly. Once you are happy with your garment hang it out to dry.


5. Once your item is fully dried, lay it out on the black bin bag again. It's time to get messy with the paint! You can use fabric paint if you wish, but if you're like me and you've worked with acrylic paint you will know there is NO getting it out of your clothes if you should have an accident. You can use more than one colour paint here (with the skirt I only used white, whereas with the leggings I used blue, yellow, purple & white). Grab your paintbrush, preferably a thick brush, and dab it into the paint then dab onto your leggings. Build up more solid blocks of colour where you want clusters of stars and galaxies. The more random the placing the better as it will look more natural. You can build up different colours of course, like I have done in the leggings but make sure you leave the white until last!


6. Once you have dabbed on your colours including the white, take the white paint again and use your paintbrush to flick at your garment. This will create individual stars! If any streak just use your finger to dab it in, so it looks like a cluster. Leave to dry before repeating with the back of your garment...and voila! There we have it, easy peasy galaxy prints! Take that Black Milk!


I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, as I really enjoyed making these prints. They're a great way to turn a mudane piece of clothing into something exciting with stuff you happen to have lying around the house anyway.
