Yesterday I took a trip to London for a couple of press days, one of them being a blogger gathering and a sneak preview of the SS14 collection hosted by Missguided. Upon arrival we made our way straight to the bar (as you do) and were treated to a range of cocktails named after fashion's finest style icons 'Alexa', 'Mary-Kate' & 'Cara'. I particularly loved the 'Mary-Kate' cocktail and will definitely be trying to conjure it up at home! The collection that Missguided had to offer for the upcoming season was the best I had seen from them yet! I was furiously making a mental wishlist in my head as I walked around the rails and I already know their new collection is going to rob my bank balance dry. There was one 'festival' themed rail that caught my eye in particular and seem perfectly catered to my wardrobe. The pink, tapestry two-piece photographed above was part of the rail and seemed to take the fancy of a lot of bloggers at the event including myself! I've got a feeling it will be sprouting up a lot over outfit posts and wishlists over the coming months!
I was also unusually taken in by the number of satin pieces that will be available. I really, really adore the dirty pink, cross-over satin playsuit that resembles some sort of luxury night wear but I think could be dressed up really well with some boots and a black fedora. What struck me most about the new collection was how expensive the range seemed to look in comparison to some other their previous collections. After speaking to the lovely Robyn (who also deserves a big well done after her first blogger event!), she confirmed that the price bracket will be staying the same with dresses still around the £30 mark for this season. As with every blogger event there was a dress-up photobooth that included Instax prints. You can see the one of myself and Toni above! I'm counting the days until their SS14 range is released on their website and I'll have my debit card at the ready!
