S P O T L I G H T | OutfitZoo*

25 September, 2014

Although online shopping is the ultimate guilty indulgence, especially when it involves clothes, it can always be a little daunting. In this age of the ever-expanding world wide web, there is just too much choice! What the hell is a girl to do?!

Shopping directories are actually a godsend for compulsive online shoppers like myself and more recently I've discovered OutfitZoo, which has scooped up a bunch of the best of the best online retailers and put them all into one place! They've personally sourced the most on trend key pieces from websites such as Topshop, River Island, Missguided and Pretty Little Thing and gathered them in one user friendly shopping experience.

Not only is it a stop for shopping, but also a great place to get some style inspiration as they have a designated Outfit section in where it is regularly updated with inspiring outfit ideas and click-through links to purchase the products. It isn't just a website that caters for us ladies, but it also has a menswear area, so you're able to shop menswear just as easy!

O U T F I T | London Fashion Week SS15 Day Three

22 September, 2014

Hat: ASOS (available here)
Dress: Vintage via Charity Shop
Boots: Vagabond (similar here)
Photos: Toni, Beyond Retro & Fran Zisk

I promise this is my third and final belated LFW outfit and then I will bore you no more with these posts I should have had up a week ago! I spotted this embroidered vintage dress in a local charity shop months ago and fell in love with it, but decided to leave it behind because I knew I would never have anywhere to wear something so extravagant in my my day-to-day routine. I mean I can't really see myself donning it on my morning commute on the packed out tube... or can I?! But seriously, no.

It was always there when I revisited the tiny, little shop and I picked it up every time before putting it back down again. Then one day whilst I was on the bus a few weeks ago I was desperately trying to conjure London Fashion Week outfits in my mind to no avail! All of a sudden I remembered the dress and took a detour on my journey to see if it was still there!

Luckily it was and I bought it for just £6! Although I feel a little like Henry VIII and as if I should be hosting a royal banquet in it, it is truly the dress of dreams!

Also, today my Day Two look at London Fashion Week was featured in this morning's Metro as a huge centre piece, which you can see here. Guys, I'm practically a poster!

O U T F I T | London Fashion Week SS15 Day Two

21 September, 2014

Hat: ASOS (available here)
Sheer Smock Dress*: c/o Oh My Love (available here)
Playsuit (worn underneath): Oh My Love
Socks: Nike
Shoes: River Island (available here)

Day two at LFW I sported a majority OML outfit once again by layering this black, chiffon, paneled smock dress over a sample playsuit, which I borrowed for the day. It does come with a black slip dress, but I was pretty keen to layer it over a print and it worked so well with this bold, floral print. Although the one I wore isn't available just yet, there's a pretty similar digital floral style available here.

O U T F I T | London Fashion Week SS15 Day One

20 September, 2014

Hat: Vintage, £2
Duster*: c/o Oh My Love
Two-Piece*: c/o Oh My Love
Rucksack: Burberry
Boots: Vagabond (similar here)

I know I'm a bit late in the game y'all probably like "Shut the hell up about London Fashion Week already - that was so last week!". In fact, if you follow me over Instagram, then you've probably already seen my outfits anyway, so apologies if I am in fact repeating myself here. The truth is I haven't had a moment to myself to update my blog over the past fortnight because of Fashion Week madness and the aftermath that follows it.

My internship at Oh My Love turned into a full-time, permanent position last week as the OML team welcomed me into the fam! I'm pretty damn chuffed to say the least, especially as I can tick off another one of my 2014 goals - Find some way out of being a shop floor whore! You're now looking at the new Web & PR superstar for the gang!

The first couple of days of LFW I was working, so I sported some of my fave pieces from Oh My Love including the Azalea Floral Two-Set and this black duster, which is yet to hit the website! This little vintage, suede baker boy hat was a bit of a risky move as I'm not entirely sure I suit it. I'm no Suki Waterhouse after all.

W I S H L I S T | X-Factor Judge Outfit

18 September, 2014

Hat / Dress / Choker / Lipstick / Shoes

Now I've got to confess something to you. I'm a sucker for talent reality TV shows, if only for the first few weeks during the auditions stage! I mean what's better than ordering a takeaway on a Saturday night, cracking open a bottle of wine and watching a selection of people try to woo the judges with their 'talent' (obviously, there are some rare cases where those sarcastic quotation marks are not needed).

At the moment X-Factor is plastered all over our television screens every weekend and one of the most anticipated moments each show is just what will the female judges be wearing?! When Betfair challenged me to style up an outfit as if I were a judge I found it a little difficult! After all, I can't say that Cheryl's or Mel's style particularly apply to my own - I'm far from glamourous! I think I would dress it down just a little with this gorgeous Topshop Unique dress, which could be worn as a daytime dress but still has that air of luxury with it's golden tones. A classic fedora hat has almost become a signature look for me, so I couldn't not include one! Whilst a vampy lip colour is perfect for this transitional period, don't you think?

What would you wear if you were given the opportunity to judge the X-Factor?

*I was supplied with a voucher towards my next shopping trip to cover the cost of this outfit.

O U T F I T | Paisley

09 September, 2014

Jumpsuit*: c/o Inlovewithfashion
Fedora: ASOS (similar here)
Necklace*: c/o lola&grace
Boots: Vagabond (similar here)

I've mentioned before that I have a penchant for kimonos, however I also have an unruly obsession with collecting paisley jumpsuits. I currently have FIVE full length paisley jumpsuits in my wardrobe and this Inlovewithfashion specimen is my most recent. I feel like I should be the front woman in a seventies band when I slip this jumpsuit on, which has surely got to be the best feeling in the world! I could be Stevie Nicks' soul sister!

Also, I'm pretty damn chuffed I've found a jumpsuit that actually fits my figure in all the right places. To all those ladies out there with small waists and unfathomably large bottoms - this jumpsuit is the ONE! It fits my waist snuggly whilst leaving enough room for my hips. For that ILWF, I thank you!

O U T F I T | Sporty Spice

03 September, 2014

Dress*: c/o Yoyo Melody
Trainers: Nike via Office (similar here)
Socks: Nike (similar here)

The trainers and dress combo has me feeling a little like Lily Allen circa the later half of the noughties. Trainers have never been "my thing", as I have a continuous love affair with black, ankle boots. It always felt a little alien to me to slip on a pair of trainers when I wasn't going to the gym or going for a jog. Then after a lot of umm-ing and ahh-ing I took the plunge and invested in these Nike Roshe Run's and it is like walking on pillows! I've quickly gotten over my phobia of wearing trainers for daily errands other than working out.

A little black cami dress has been missing from my overflowing wardrobe floordrobe for some time, so when Yoyo Melody I chose this little number to fill that LBD hole in my life. In the past I've found Asian-based, wholesale sites to be a little smaller and shorter with their sizing, but I was chuffed to see this dress covered my rather rotund derriere with a few inches of fabric to spare!
