O U T F I T | Red Velvet

21 December, 2014
Gilet: Primark (old) // Kimono: Oh My Love // Vest: Vintage // Necklace: Forever 21 // Trousers*: c/o Leggsington // Boots: Topshop (available here)

I'm a little annoyed that my camera was on the wrong setting when these photos were taking meaning they've turned out to be such shit, grainy quality. Pretty damn frustrating considering it was the first time I took my new £80 lens for a whirl too! If someone out there would like to teach me how to actually use my camera properly then please be my guest!

I'm wearing yet another pair of joggers by Leggsington... only this time in red velvet! I've also got them in black velvet and they're the most comfortable option when it comes to casual lounge wear.

As I mentioned in my previous post 2015 is creeping around the corner which has led to me reflecting on the past year concerning Fox & Feather and the opportunities it's brought me, such as working with incredible brands such as H&M, Daniel Wellington, Wildfox and media agency, Total Media... the list goes on!

Thanks 2014, you've been alright.

Cardigan: Topshop via Boot Sale // Poncho: Vintage // Trousers*: c/o Leggsington // Necklace: Forever 21 // Hat: ASOS // Boots: Topshop

Snake print is slowly becoming one of my favourite animals print... In fact, I think it may just top leopard print for me now. Shocker! When  Leggsington contacted me to review a few of their products these Python Joggers were top of my list. Although cuffed joggers are a pretty casual look, reserved only for slobbing out or going to the gym (how ironic!), I'm always trying to dress up a printed jogger to create a comfortable day look.

Leggsington are offering you guys 15% off any orders with the code 'LEIGH' when entered at the checkout. What are your favourite pieces from their website? I'm also pretty fond of their velvet collection.

Can you believe Christmas is only a week away? It's come around ever so quickly and before we know it, it'll be 2015! I'm rather excited for the arrival of 2015 as it'll be my first fresh year into the world as a graduate. I'm already making plans for the new year, planning adventures and experiencing new things. I've been planning new gigs and festivals to go to or even maybe an opera such as ENO's La Traviata show... who knows?

What are your plans for 2015?

W I S H L I S T | Santa, Baby

14 December, 2014

It's only a week and a half until Christmas - eeek! I'm a little bit late in posting a Christmas wishlist, but I've actually been feeling a little un-festive up until this weekend. I can't quite believe 2014 is almost at an end!

This fabulous ASOS faux fur has had me pining the past few weeks that I haven't been able to afford it. I treated myself to this Story of Lola rainbow pastel number a few weeks ago, so it's probably not completely justifiable to purchase a second multicoloured dreamcoat within a matter of weeks... or is it?

The guys at Daniel Wellington have already answered my Christmas wishes and treated me to their Classic Sheffield Watch in Rose Gold. I'm pretty smitten with it. Also, they're offering you guys a 15% off code with any orders made before Christmas. Make sure to order on or before the 17th December so your order arrives on time. All you have to do is pop the discount code HOLIDAYLEIGHTRAVERS in at the checkout.

When I saw the 'Crows Before Hoes' mug whilst browsing Urban Outfitters I got overly excited. Considering I have a penchant for novelty mugs and like the rest of the world, I am a Game of Thrones super fan, this would make my morning coffee a million times better.

Although I've never been one to jump on the beauty bandwagon, I've found myself coveting an Urban Decay Naked Palette. This could be due to the face I've started to apply my eyeshadow like a grown woman rather than a 12 year old girl dabbing her fingertips in the pot.

Santa, please take note of all of the above.

What's on your Christmas list this year?

O U T F I T | #XmasJumperStyleChallenge with Beyond Retro

07 December, 2014

Waistcoat*: c/o Beyond Retro // Dress: River Island (old) // Headband: Xmas Market // Boots: New Look (similar here) // Necklace: Forever 21

This season Beyond Retro have teamed up with Save The Children for a fun and festive campaign in order to raise money for the charity. The vintage store pledges to donate £1 for every Christmas jumper sold. With a range of 10, 000 jumpers across their stores and the website there's plenty to choose from whether you fancied a pretty floral number or an overly tacky, ugly festive knit.

If they did manage to sell every last jumper that would be £10,000 raised and 10, 000 fabulously festive people kitted out in time for Christmas! Be sure to check out their full range of Christmas jumpers available here.

Also, Beyond Retro are holding a £250 voucher giveaway for anyone who wants to participate in their xmas jumper style off. Simply snap a selfie of yourself in your wonderful new festive attire and upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #xmasjumperstylechallenge and then make sure you follow Beyond Retro across their social media channels. Easy peasy.

You may have noticed I ditched the grown out blonde roots for being a carrot top once again. If you've followed my blog since back in the day you'll know I was a redhead for a long time, but early last year made the switch to blonde. As my natural roots grew out (which was the first time I had ever seen my natural hair colour since I was 11 years old) I realised just how dark it was and how much it didn't suit my pasty pale skin tone. Although it's a little more red than the copper colour I want, it's still a step in the right direction.
