T R A V E L | The Best Burger In Amsterdam

25 October, 2015

One of the best parts of travelling is experiencing new cuisine and indulging in something you may not be able to try at home.

For me and James, we eat burgers wherever we go (we also run a burger blog at BURGERFACE *shameless plug*). I mean, I know we can eat a burger at home, but burgers are the best food type by far. Plus, we never want to miss out on finding the world's perfect burger!

A few months back we took a trip to Amsterdam. Before we had even touched down in the Netherlands, we knew we wanted to stuff our faces with as many burgers as possible within the five days we were there. The day before we left the city, we were walking through the famous Albert Cuypmarkt when James spotted The Butcher burger bar hiding behind the market stalls. We had heard people rave about The Butcher before so we had high expectations when we walked in. Ordering a standard cheese & bacon burger to share, we took each took a bite and looked at each other. HECK, WE MAY HAVE FOUND THE BEST BURGER EVER.

You can read our full review of The Butcher here.

You can't always leave where you eat when on holiday down to chance like we did with The Butcher. Travelbag have come up with a genius idea of creating an interactive map of restaurants across Dubai, so you can plan where you want to eat before you travel. If you're headed to Dubai in the near future, it will definitely prove a useful tool to plan where you want to eat. You can filter down their recommended restaurants dependent on your budget or the cuisine you're looking for. Now, get me on a plane to Dubai!

  1. So glad you've introduced me to your burger blog - massive burger fan! I went to Amsterdam in March and we actually ate a burger around the Albert Cuypmarkt (our first meal while in the Dam) and it was incredible - though I must say I'm a bit gutted I didn't spot The Butcher bar, looks like it might beat the one we had! K xx
