Little House on The Prairie

Blouse: Charity Shop // Sunglasses: Spitalfields Market // Skirt*: Tick Tock Vintage // Boots: Missguided

The folk trend is something that has always appealed to me. Maybe it's my penchant for the seventies, embroidered blouses and the likes of folk musicians, but it's a trend I've always gravitated towards.

A few weeks ago I was invited down to pick a few pieces from the incredible Tick Tock Vintage warehouse (more on that in a later post!) and this gorgeous, embroidered folksy skirt sat comfortably in the 60s to 70s section leapt out at me. It's perfect for the 'Prairie Girl' trend that seems to be cropping up all over the style scene right now. Plus, I happen to have a multitude of embroidered blouses that work with it perfectly.

Also, for someone who is bordering on the taller side of things (5ft9, as a matter of fact), skirts can often be a little on the shorter side. However, this one sits just above my knees, which means I'm not paranoid about exposing myself, even on a windy day!

What do you think of the 70s prairie trend?
