Dress*: Valley of the Dolls // Sunglasses: Spitalfields Market // Boots: Topshop

I first discovered 70s inspired label, Valley of the Dolls, at JOY's press day last year and from the off, it was love at first sight. A brand that celebrates bell sleeves, crochet, eccentric prints and denim flares has my heart within seconds. When they asked me to pick a piece from their current collection, I was like a kid in a sweet shop. How on earth could I narrow it down to one?

After debating between several open product tabs, I decided this blue, paisley, flute-sleeved number had my name on it. And you know what? I'm so glad I opted for this particular dress, because I am completely and utterly besotted with it. If I ever slip into a dress and it makes me feel like a second spirit of Stevie Nicks or Janis Joplin, then it's a winner with me. It just fits so perfectly in all of the right places and flares out in all of the right places too.

We shot these photos during my recent trip to Winchester. The city itself is a style blogger's dream as there are just so many quaint backdrops hidden down little side streets. This particular set was shot in the cathedral grounds, which is a must visit if you're ever visiting Winchester.
