Dress*: The Vintage Kilo Sale // Belt: ASOS // Necklace: Primark // Boots: Zara

A few weeks ago we were invited as BURGERFACE to sample some cider at The Stable in our neighbouring city of Winchester. Luckily I'm quite familiar with the city of Winchester because my university is based there (although it's been a long time since graduation, I tell you!), so during my student days I'd explore the historic, cobbled streets it has to offer. We spent the few hours before our event at The Stable window shopping and wandering around Winchester.

This dress, which you may have caught in my Huge London Vintage Haul video, was one of my incredible finds in the Vintage Kilo Sale. It's the perfect 70's, bohemian, tiered maxi dress that just fits so comfortably. Considering it has an elasticated waistband it was definitely a good decision to wear for an afternoon of non-stop eating, I tell you that.

If you want to see if the Vintage Kilo Sale is coming to a city near you then you can have a look on their Facebook page here.

T R A V E L | Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnaval 2016 After Movie

26 February, 2016
Tenerife Travel Video Vlog

IT'S HEEEEERRREEEE!

I've relentlessly cut, stripped back & edited this video as well as an amateur videographer possibly can, but I'm finally ready to reveal our first ever travel video in Tenerife. In case you didn't read (although I haven't STOPPED talking about it!), myself & James visited the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife with Thomas Cook Airlines to experience their annual carnival, which is the second biggest in the world after Rio!

Our time there was absolutely magical and we wanted to share a few video snippets with you, so we could bring the craziness of the carnival and the tranquility of the Teide National Park back with us to reminisce. I have plenty more vlog style footage that I could piece into a second video, but a lot of it involves James & me drunkenly rambling into a camera - we spent the entire holiday intoxicated, seriously. I'm not too sure if the YouTube world is quite ready for our drunken philosophies quite yet!

For now, sit back, grab a cuppa and prepare to develop a severe case of wanderlust:

GIFT GUIDE | Mother's Day Ideas with Amara Living

24 February, 2016
GPO Record Storage Box Vintage 70s Retro

Sunday the 6th of March will see this year's Mother's Day.

That's not too far away now, so it is certainly time to start thinking about how to treat the wonderful mother figure in your life this year. If you're stuck in a rut for ideas, Amara Living have everything from gorgeous designer homeware to covetable beauty gift sets.

I chose a couple of Mother's Day inspired gifts from the Amara website to inspire some affordable ideas if you're at a loss of what to buy this Mother's Day.

GPO Record Storage Box Vintage 70s Retro

GPO Vinyl Record Storage Box*: This retro-inspired piece is perrrrfect for the mother that appreciates good music and still belts out The Beatles records at every opportune moment... I mean, can you blame her?! This vintage throwback retro record box is an ideal and practical gift for any sixties or seventies babes who are still stuck in the era. Surprisingly this compact little box comfortably stores between 40 - 45 records. As well as this popping cherry red, it is also available in pale blue and a rustic brown.

Magpie Poochies Bull Terrier Mug*: I just had to choose this paisley patchwork canine mug for my own mum! If you follow me on Instagram you'll know I have two family dogs, Dude and Toffee. Dude is an English Bull Terrier, so I knew this mug would go down pretty well with my mum as we're pretty smitten with anything bearing a pooch. If you're in a family of animal lovers like me, any present based around the family pet is sure to be a hit!

Visit the Amara Living website for any last minute Mother's Day gift ideas.

Dress*: Frolicking With Clementine // Necklace: Glastonbury // Belt*: Beyond Retro // Boots: New Look

A girl can never have too many printed vintage maxi dresses, IMO. You may have seen this billowing, bohemian number from Frolicking With Clementine feature in my recent vintage haul video. If you haven't, I urge you to go watch it as I picked up a whole heap of vintage treasures last month!

Frolicking With Clementine is an online vintage store that specialises in whimsical and wonderful seventies threads. Everything available over on their website would happily slide into my wardrobe. I would never describe myself as a girl who likes the colour pink, but something about this dress reached out to me. Maybe it's the rich magenta mixed with straps of gold and subtle floral detail that won me over. Although, it is a little oversized on me I was able to fix the spacious waistband with an old plaited, brown leather vintage belt that I picked up in Beyond Retro last year.

What do you think of this look?

V I D E O | Huge London Vintage Haul

Huge London Vintage Clothes Haul Fashion Blogger

Last month I picked up an absolute shed load of vintage treasures from London whilst I was visiting for my birthday. Rather than list them on my blog, I decided to film a quick haul of some of the newest vintage additions to my wardrobe from the past month.

I'm pretty awful on camera, so please bear with me whilst I get used to this YouTube malarky. I plan to focus my channel on vintage styling, secondhand shopping tips, travel, food, culture & lifestyle, so if that sounds like your cup of tea why not subscribe to Fox & Feather?

R E V I E W | Scout Eyewear from Glasses Direct

03 February, 2016
Scout 70's Glasses

Scout Glasses*: Glasses Direct

I worked out I spend nearly 12 hours a day of my working week staring at a computer screen. On top of that my weekends are usually spent catching up with blog work, which means many more hours staring at a screen. I've always had pretty good eyesight until I started an office job in where I've felt those endless hours straining my eyes at a screen have started to take a toll on my eyesight.

Last month, I decided to finally book an overdue eye test at my local opticians. Low and behold, my eyes have deteriorated as I had predicted. Luckily it wasn't by too much and I'm long-sighted rather than short-sighted. This means I am bloody fantastic at spotting which number bus is coming from a long distance!

Luckily, Glasses Direct came to the rescue and offered me a pair of prescription frames to review. Predictably I was instantly drawn to these very 70's, tortoise shell, oversized frames by Scout. After submitting my prescription, they took around a week to arrive which allowed enough time for the lenses to be fitted to the frames.

Choosing a pair of frames online can be difficult but significantly cheaper than choosing in an opticians. How are you meant to decide without trying several pairs of frames on first? To overcome this problem Glasses Direct have a 'virtual try on' system where you can try the frames on with your webcam! Awesome, right?

If you'd rather try on a few different frames IRL, Glasses Direct have got that covered with their 7 day free home trial where you can choose up to 4 pairs of frames to try on at home before you commit to buying. Handy, huh?
