"In the 1960s, 'groupie' was just a word used to describe girls who wanted to hang out with groups, but over the years it has slowly become a negative term." - Pamela De Barres.

Nipa Thai at The Lancaster London Review

21 March, 2017

Nipa Thai is an upscale Thai restaurant located deep within the Lancaster London hotel and a few weeks ago myself and James were invited along to taste what they have to offer on their menu. The Lancaster hotel is a well-known, 4-star hotel located directly opposite the vast greenery of Hyde Park. It's just a ten-minute stroll away from Marble Arch and the endless shops of Oxford Street, which makes it an entirely convenient place to stay if you're exploring the offerings of West London.

3 Plant-Based Breakfast Ideas with Alpro

13 March, 2017

When it comes to eating breakfast, I'm not particularly creative on weekdays because I'm in the office by 9am so don't have much time to prepare in the morning. This usually means a quick bowl of cereal or a bagel loaded with dairy-free butter (because if it's dairy free, it's healthy right?).

Dairy free dreamboats, Alpro, sent me a few of their products to try and change up my day-to-day breakfast routine and make it a little more exciting in the mornings. Their products included a range of dairy free milk alternatives including soya, oat and coconut and some delicious dairy free yoghurts. If you haven't tried the coconut yoghurt yet then I suggest you get to your local supermarket pronto because it is heavenly!

The Diner Southampton Review

The Diner Southampton Westquay Watermark Review

I'm slowly making my way around the new restaurants at Westquay Watermark and having already been to Thaikhun and Red Dog Saloon, next on my Southampton foodie hit list was The Diner! Now, I have visited The Diner in London before, but this was when I was still eating meat so I was curious to see just how extensive the menu at the well-known dirty food joint was for vegetarians.

Thai Silk Southwark Review

Thai Silk Southwark Review Food Blog

A few weeks ago I was invited along to review a complimentary meal at London hotspot, Thai Silk. Having only recently discovered the delights of Thai cuisine, I was looking forward to trying a few new dishes. I decided to also take along my mum as my guest as she had never tried Thai food before, so the evening at Thai Silk was a first for her.

The restaurant is located quite literally a stone's throw away from Southwark tube station and less than a minute's walk. Upon exiting the station, you just simply follow the path to the back of the station and you'll find Thai Silk nestled amongst a number of other bars underneath the arches of the station. When entering the restaurant itself, it's actually quite overwhelming how far back the restaurant goes lined with tables and authentic Thai decor and artefacts. We arrived a little before 7pm on a Saturday and although it was quite empty at this time, it filled up quickly within the hour as lots of parties arrived and the atmosphere picked up to a lively weekend buzz!
