OOTD: Teenage Witch

07 April, 2012

Cardigan: Present (a few Christmases ago) | Bustier: Minkpink via Urban Outfitters, £20 (inc. discount) | Skirt: H&M via Victoria's giveaway | Body Harness: Miss Selfridge Sale, £1 | Platforms: H&M, £24.99

When body harnesses first appeared on the scene around a year ago I must admit I laughed. They seemed impractical and a little silly, so I never felt the need to buy one. However, when I was noseying around Miss Selfridge recently I discovered they had reduced all of their jewellery to just £1 including this body harness and another studded one, which I also bought. Considering they originally retailed at £25 I thought it would be rude not to purchase them both immediately! I even asked for student discount, so they technically cost me 90p each! I must admit, I'm converted. They're not impractical at all, because I barely notice it's there as I'm wearing it.

This bustier is pretty much what my dreams are made of! As soon as I saw it on the Urban Outfitters website a couple of months ago I knew I had to have it! I won the skirt a while back as part of the lovely Victoria's giveaway. I love the asymmetrical hem as it's ever so flattering - I think I need to add a few more floaty asymmetrical hems to my wardrobe as soon as possible! Today, I've been working on a DIY galaxy print, which I can't wait to share with you!

* EDIT: I went back into Miss Selfridge today and saw they have put this body harness back up to £25, so it must have been a pricing error when I bought it!

What's this hype with the body harnesses all about & where does it come from? Maybe you could write a post about it, cause I have no clue and I'd like to know ;)
