Minkpink Festival Party

MinkPink Festival Launch Party

As you may already know from previous posts Minkpink is one of my favourite brands, which I've only discovered since working for Urban Outfitters. I end up lusting after every new Minkpink collection that comes into store and in turn Minkpink ends up rinsing my bank balance. I have never been a person that has favoured brands or a particular brand, but Minkpink have stood out to me as each collection is perfectly catered to my style - a mixture of 1970's style paisley prints, fringed kimonos, velvet dresses and crotchet cardigans!

As you can imagine, I was delighted to be asked to attend the festival themed party they held in London to launch their new swimwear range and upcoming collections. I went along with Toni to The Breakfast Club, an eclectic little cafe/bar in the heart of Soho in where the walls are plastered with polaroids and the shelves are decorated with an assortment of childhood treasures. Staying true to the festival theme the night offered flower garland making with the lovely Karin at Wunderlust (you can see my flower garland attempt below, which I am admittedly spectacularly proud of!) and extravagant sequin lashes courtesy of Shimmer Twins. I'll definitely be sporting both my new lashes and flower garland to festivals this summer!

The collection itself was exactly what I expected of Minkpink and did not disappoint. There were a few items that particularly stood out including a blue velvet mini dress, the paisley shorts (pictured), white lace shorts (pictured) and a silver shimmer dress. Also on display was their wonderful jewellery collection, which I never knew existed as part of Minkpink until last night. Unfortunately, I didn't get an outfit photo which I am regretting now because I wore a sheer black Zara maxi dress for the first time teamed with my paisley Minkpink kimono. Thanks to Minkpink's lovely evening and the Glastonbury Festival documentary I'm currently watching I'm really in the festival spirit and looking forward Hackney Weekend next week!
