All dresses above from Peter Hahn

When on earth did mid-January creep around so quickly?! I mean the rain and the cold weather may still be persistent but before we know it spring will be on our doorsteps, which means a radical wardrobe transformation will be in order. Although I'll miss the velvet and metallic that are staples for me every winter, I'll bid them farewell for another year and begin to welcome spring summer trends into my outfits. One trend in particular that caught my eye was the striking, bright and bold prints that were featured in the like of Mary Katrantzou's SS14 lines as seen below.

I've had a little hunt around online for some printed dresses in preparation of my SS14 wardrobe and I found a whole fortune of printed numbers ideal for the sunnier months on Peter Hahn. I've gathered a collection of six of my favourite dresses on the website above. Now, I know the crochet dress isn't exactly a printed dress, but I thought I would cheat and throw it in there as I love it so much! It would be ideal for a daytime to evening holiday dress, as it would look beautiful with flip-flops or heels and an up-do for the evening. The first, carpet-printed dress is perfectly bohemian as I would team it with my oversized black fedora and a fringed bag, whilst the second tropical-printed dress is more of a statement piece on it's own. The green and red floral prints are both obviously very vintage inspired and would not look out of place in a cute London vintage boutique. There's something about that red one though that just makes me want to grab a bicycle with a basket and cycle through town on a perfect spring day! What do you think of the printed dress trend? Are you as excited about it's arrival in spring as I am?
