Now, I don't think I've ever delved into the world of beauty blogging. I've been wearing pretty much the same make-up style since I was about 15 years old, cue cat flick and red lips. However, hair is a different story all together. Throughout my teenage years I chopped and changed my hair quicker than the weather. It's pretty much been every colour of the rainbow until I settled on keeping it a strawberry blonde or auburn colour. Needless to say my hair has seen the end of it's tether many a time and I've got to admit I invest quite a bit of time and money into my hair care. As you can imagine I was delighted when I was contacted to review a few products from hair care and styling giant, ghd. Of course, ghd are most well-known for their cult straighteners, which have become potentially the most owned pair of straighteners across the globe. When someone mentions straighteners I automatically think of ghd straighteners.

I own a pair of ghd straighteners too, so although I'm trying my best not to use heat on my hair, I do around once a week or so. This heat protect spray helps me feel a little less guilty about the fact I'm using heat as it helps stop the damage from straighteners. It's got a delicious fruity smell; I would purchase it again for the smell alone! Also, it doesn't make my hair sticky like a lot of heat protect sprays I've used in the past. Initially I comb my hair out with my Tangle Teezer as my hair tends to get matted quite a bit overnight and during the day, but switch to this dressing brush when it comes to styling my hair. The natural bristles are so soft, which means brushing is entirely pain-free and it glides over hair without any pulling. Personally, I've found it ideal for a bit of daytime backcombing too for a bit of extra volume!

I'm currently working on a hair growth series too, in where I'll be trialing and testing all hair growth remedies and myths to see what actually works in my never-ending mission to grow mermaid hair, so keep an eye out for that!
