There's never a good reason to not wear sequins, in my opinion.
I took these new bedazzled trousers for a spin when we went for a casual Sunday stroll through Southampton city centre last weekend. I'm a magpie when it comes to anything remotely shiny and I'm a firm believer in the idea that there's no such thing as overdressing. Sequins shouldn't just be restricted to the festive season and evening shindigs - no ma'am - they should absolutely be worn to the supermarket or for a mid-morning brunch date!
These trousers are perfect for the transitional piece to dress both up and down. As I wasn't going anywhere fancy last weekend, I teamed them with this retro slogan tee from Joanie Clothing and my trusty pair of Vans. I was lucky enough to win this cute little tee as Kaye tagged me in their Twitter competition earlier in the month and we both won a t-shirt each! It's oh so soft and the quality of the t-shirt itself is incredible. As the weather was a little nippy and grey - if you couldn't already tell from the photos - I layered up with an old staple midi-length coat that I've had since my university days when I worked for Urban Outfitters. I think I paid around 15 quid for this coat in the sale and it's lasted me bloody years!
All of these photos were shot on my new Google Pixel 2, which I bought last week. I'm still getting to grips with it, because switching from an iPhone to Android operating system is difficult, but I'm in love with the quality camera on it! It's so nice to be able to shoot decent photos quickly and without setting up my camera. I'm not intending to use it indefinitely for my future blog photos as it doesn't quite live up to my 50mm lens, but it certainly makes it easier to shoot spontaneously when I may not have my camera to hand!
