Hat: Vintage via Car Boot Sale // Jacket: Vintage via Depop //
Top: Topshop via Depop // Necklace: Forever 21 //

Now, it can't be just me... Have you ever dreamt a perfect item of clothing that you have totally invented in your mind? This particularly happens with vintage clothing a lot. So, you keep your eyes peeled every time you shop in the vain hope that someone or somewhere out there is selling the exact item you have conjured up off the top of your head? That was the case with this blue velvet jacket...

A few months back I spotted a red and gold embellished vintage jacket in one of the many overpriced, secondhand haunts on Brick Lane. Although I was quite tempted to reach into the bottom of my purse to take it home, I resisted as I realised I would have loved it oh so much more if it were in crushed blue velvet. Fast forward a few weeks later... to me in my bed browsing through my phone on Depop until the early hours of the morning and I spot this exact one for just £18!

You may or may not recognise this little suede baker boy hat making an appearance last LFW. It cost me just £2 from a car boot sale in the summer and I had to have it to aid me on my quest to becoming Suki Waterhouse. It's a quest that's been going on for some time now, that I'm no where near accomplishing! Damn you Suki and your angelic face!

O U T F I T | Blue Fur

21 January, 2015
Jacket*: Fecbek // Tunic: Vintage // Fedora: ASOS //
Flares: ASOS (available here) // Boots: Vagabond

I've started to develop quite a collection of coloured faux furs, so I couldn't pass up another one when I stumbled across this bright blue dream on Fecbek, could I?

I'll admit it's not the greatest quality and now I have no idea what the hell to even wear it with as it's such a bright blue, but it's so snug and fluffy!

O U T F I T | Ride Or Die

18 January, 2015
Leather Jacket: Charity Shop // Kimono: Urban Outfitters // Tunic: Vintage //
Leggings: PrettyLittleThing // Boots: Vagabond

ALLSAINTS, eat your heart out... this VERY distressed, leather biker cost me just £10 from a charity shop and although it's so big I could probably live in it... which I happily plan to... I really do love it.  I have the feeling it could belonged to an old man who had owned the jacket since his heyday as a wannabe biker in high school, before his wife or kids instructed him to throw it out. Now, it's mine. All mine.

I originally saw these lace-up, suede leggings over on Heather's Instagram and I just had to buy them. After all, they're just £6.50 in the PLT sale. Bargain of the year (even if it's two weeks in).

So, I'm 24 in two days, which makes me almost mid-twenties... send help and anti-aging cream!

O U T F I T | Folkin' Around

14 January, 2015
Jacket: Missguided Sale (available here) // Dress: Zara Sale // Hat: ASOS (similar here) // Necklace: Forever 21 // Bag: Vintage // Boots: Office (old)

I'm really sorry, but I got a little snap happy with this post.

It's not often I can find so many photos in a batch that I'm actually half happy with to publish, but I just adore this outfit combination.

I purchased this absolutely divine mismatched faux fur jacket from Missguided last week for just £12 in their sale! £12 - kerrrazzzyyy, right?! I have to thank super sasspot Robyn for tweeting the link to the jacket so I could spend £12 (I most definitely don't have this month) on it. I'm now going to be eating like a peasant all month; a nice way to kick-start the 2015 diet at least! There's still a few jackets available here, so nab one whilst you can because I doubt they'll be online for much longer!

This folk print, Woodstock vibin' dress was also a forbidden sale spend that I picked up in December from Zara for £19.99. Although I probably  definitely should not have bought it, I spotted it when it was full price months ago and pined over it then. I think if I had left it behind I would still be crying over it now and I AM NOT A PRETTY CRYER. Trust me.

I keep telling myself I'll get plenty of wear out of it as it's such a versatile little dress. I can see myself floating around the hills of Glastonbury in it in a few months time.

These incredible, witchy, tapestry boots were hiding at the bottom of my wardrobe. Although originally from Office, I bought them WAAAYYY back in my first year of uni when I was fresh-faced with a student loan at my disposal to splurge on all of the shoes my shoe-shaped heart desired. Then, after being worn just the once... they were cast aside and thrown under a mountain of clothes.

Now four years on, I've landed in the real world (without an injection of cash into my bank account every 4 months) and I've had to face the task of de-cluttering my wardrobe to pay my way. Upon the task of de-cluttering and sobbing as I list the past few years of my life on eBay, I discover little treasures like these boots that I just can't bring myself to part with. I mean, can you blame me?!

O U T F I T | Joy

11 January, 2015

Jacket: Oh My Love // Lace Top*: c/o Louche via JOY // Skirt*: c/o Louche via JOY // Sequin Bralet: Urban Outfitters Sale // Fedora: Monsoon via Depop // Boots: New Look via Depop

I've been a bit A.W.O.L. the past few weeks when it's come to this blog. It's not a secret that I'm struggling to find the time to keep up with it in between working full time in the city whilst travelling back and fourth to Southampton on weekends.

Also, I've been suffering with a severe case of the January blues. I've contemplated giving up this blog all together, but decided to give it one last slog as it's a new year and all! So, let's see how I get on.

I'm still not letting go of Christmas in this ever so slightly festive get-up. The red and emerald colour scheme topped off with sequins and a typical Christmassy tartan would probably be more appropriate for December, but what the hell! Also, please excuse my deathly pale legs; I'm kinda regretting not wearing tights or slapping on some tan for this outfit now.

This little black eyelash lace top and tartan skirt are both from JOY by one of their in-house brands, Louche. If you have a little browse through the vintage-inspired Louche collection you'll feast your eyes upon tons of bold, brash, fun, colourful prints, which are ideal for adding a bit of flair to your wardrobe.

Can we talk about... that Joni Mitchell x Saint Laurent campaign?

09 January, 2015

We really have to talk about this one.

I mean, Saint Laurent is my 'one day when I'm rich and famous I'll own every item' aspirational high-end label. For me, they just continue to get it right every single season. This season I was truly heartbroken I didn't have the pennies for their signature glitter ankle boots. My toes shall just have to remain glitter-free for now...

Staying true to their 70's throwback inspired designs, Saint Laurent have picked the ultimate front woman for their SS15 campaign, lady Queen Joni Mitchell herself. Obviously Joni was a prominent figure of the decade that has influenced Saint Laurent designs, so the two are a match made in heaven. The Canadnian singer-songwriter was shot by SL's creative genius, Hedi Slimane, whilst wearing a Saint Laurent folk tunic teamed with a staple fedora and a custom made leather cape. If I can look as damn cool as Joni at 71 years old then I'll be a happy woman.

Saint Laurent have featured a number of musicians in previous campaigns such as the likes of Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson, so I can't wait to see who Hedi has in mind for their next campaign. I vote Stevie Nicks, please and thank you.

What do you think of Saint Laurent's latest campaign?
