Louis Vuitton SS12 Inspired Make-Up

14 January, 2012

MaxFactor Pan Stick (Fair), No. 7 Stay Perfect Foundation in Alabaster, MaxFactor Creme Puff (Translucent), eBay Eyelashes, Bourjois Pink Blush (not sure which colour as it's rubbed away), MUA Heaven & Earth Palette (top left shade)

As another form of procrastination considering I have so much work to do, I decided to experiment with a new make-up look today that is a little more natural. I've been using the signature cat eye flick eyeliner daily since I was around 15 years old. I rarely go a day without it, as I feel my eyes just look naked otherwise. I've always been captured by the make-up used in the Louis Vuitton SS'12 show (example here. It's so beautiful, fresh and feminine! Unfortunately, my attempts are nowhere near, but I mus admit it's nice to not wear the eyeliner for a change! Hopefully, as it comes into the spring season practice will make perfect so I can eventually master this look.

  3. Wow you look so beautiful here...proof that if you DID cut your hair short...which I'm not saying you should do cos that would be hypocritical when I'm trying to grow mine...you would look awesome! Amy is right, Twiggy did pop to mind when I saw this...you should wear your hair like this more often! Let's do a makeup tutorial for your birthday? :) If we can get rid of the boys maybe I can come over early and get ready together? x x

    1. I know, I know! Long hair is more versatile though, and I can make it look short whenever I feel like it, like today for instance :) Yes I'm up for that. I'm so up for sequin eyes now! xx

I know what you mean about feeling naked without your eyeliner, I'm exactly the same, I don't feel like myself if I don't have it on

  7. Ah you look so pretty! There's an image in the Beauty section of Glamour mag from the Louis Vuitton show and I was just thinking today how lovely the makeup is! I know how you feel about not wearing eyeliner - I wear it most days but sometimes it's a nice change to go without. The false lashes still make your eyes stand out anyway :) x
